Alunos de Anatomia Vegetal produzem suas próprias cores/Plant Anatomy students produce their own colors

If previosly the students of Plant Anatomy course had drawn and schematized  material in permanent glass slides (see post here) now they learned to cut, clarify and give color to their own anatomical cuts, with the preparation of semi-permanent histological slides. We used stems and fresh leaves of Piper aduncum (Piperaceae), and Sarablau coloring. The sections were photographed with cellphone cameras. Some cuts were amazing and the "psychedelic" images of the structures could be used to stamp fabrics or pictures! Science is beauty!

The activity was conducted mainly by Ricardo Barosela and Carolina Ferreira, who prepared the scripts.
