A espécie é Delonix regia (Bojer ex Hook) Raf. , uma outra árvore da família Leguminosae. A espécie é originária de Madagascar, mas hoje é muito cultivada em toda a faixa tropical do planeta. Possui boa sombra, com flores alaranjadas-vermelhas muito bonitas. Os frutos são vagens grandes e pêndulas, lenhosas. A espécie é amplamente conhecida como "flamboyant", e nos Estados Unidos como "peacock-flower". Aqui em Ribeirão Preto a planta é bastante comum em parques a áreas com gramado.
Parabéns de novo para Luiz Melo e Rubens Queiroz. Preciso fazer um desafio mais difícil para estes caras!

Here is the answer to the challenge # 3
The species is Delonix regia (Bojer ex Hook) Raf., another tree species of Leguminosae. The species is native in Madagascar, but today widely cultivated in the tropical regions worldwide. It has a good shade, with beautiful orange-red flowers. The pods are woody, large and pendulous. The species is widely known as "flamboyant" and "peacock-flower tree" in the United States. Here in Ribeirão Preto the tree is is quite common in parks and other grassy areas.
Congratulations again to Luiz Melo and Rubens Queiroz. I need to make more difficult challenges for these guys!
